by Roy F. Baumister and John Tierney
— Psychologist Baumeister and science writer Tierney use cutting-edge research and the wisdom of real-life experts to teach you how to focus your inner strength, resist temptation, and redirect your life through developing and using willpower and self-control.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg — explains why habits exist, how they work, and how best to change negative habits into positive ones. Duhigg argues that habits are formed in response to certain cues; and to replace them, you need to identify the cues, decide on new responses, and then consciously practice those new responses until they become your new permanent routine.

Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking
by Malcolm Gladwell
— is about first impressions and using them to make more effective and successful decisions and choices. Blink reveals that many great decision makers, especially experts in their field, don’t process the most information or spend the most time deliberating, they “thin-slice.” They can and do identify the very few factors that matter the most—almost in a blink of an eye. For certain people, expertise + intuition works better than either alone.
