“In The Sanctuary of the Soul” by Paramahansa Yogananda — is a compilation of some of his best and most famous discourses and insights. Each is short, to the point, inspiring, and still relevant for a sincere spiritual student.
The Dalai Lama’s Little Book of Wisdom by the Dalai Lama — is also a compilation of his most famous and insightful points of view. Each is short and to the point providing a concise and modern perspective on Buddhist teachings.
The Universe in a Single Atom by the Dalai Lama — contains many of the Dalai Lama’s greatest insights revealing his lifelong passion for science. It also outlines his perspective on how subjects as diverse as quantum physics and Buddhist teachings can and do complement each other in this modern world.
The Case for God by Karen Armstrong — is a comprehensive historical overview of how the concept, rituals, and experience of God has been taught, shared and evolved throughout time in all the major traditions. It closes with Karen sharing her very practical and enlightened view on God for the future.
